And that is the quote from Sean Boland, speaking on behalf of Howrey (where's Bobby?!) and dishing some snark at his former partners who have already bailed from the sinking Howrey ship in a WaPo article that ran this weekend. There was not much new in the article.
Howrey has always spoken ill of the people who have left. Bob and others have told the press that the departed didn't fit in, were not part of the culture, that the departure was part of the cunning plan, etc. I guess they will remain utterly ungracious until the end. And how much more patient does Boland expect people to be in the face of this shockingly awkward slow euthanasia process?
Boland also believes that the Howrey name will carry on somehow. Good luck with that.
Sharktanklegal.com has another gem of a story.
ReplyDeleteThe shark tank article (after the update) says that Howrey is down to less than 100 attorneys. Is that true? Is that before or after the partners go to Winston?

The 100 figure referred to what they have left in DC, I believe
ReplyDeleteWill Howrey attorneys eventually move to Winston's DC office, vice versa, or will they maintain two separate locations?
ReplyDeleteHowrey attorneys will move over in attenuated format to W&S offices. Pay attention to the word "attenuated". Meaning not everyone will move over. In fact, less than 50 percent will.
ReplyDeleteI heard that Winston was buying the rights to the Howrey name. Doesn't mean they will use it but maybe that is what Boland was alluding to.
